The Mount Buffalo Ski School has toboggans, snow shoes and “Hok” skis for hire plus we stock a range of sox, gloves and beanies (for sale only).
See below for information on what we do not hire as we do not have the space to do so and where you can hire before driving up.

HOK SKI HIRE
Hok skis are a cross between a snow shoe and a back country ski. They have steel edges and a fixed “skin” underneath to grip the snow when travelling up hill or on flat ground.
You use a “Teak” pole to assist and to help steer rather than normal ski poles Ski boots are not required as the adjustable binding will fit snow boots, hiking boots and other snow suitable footwear.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIS
There are no cross country skis for hire at Mount Buffalo
Cross Country (Free Heel) skis, plus boots and poles need to be hired prior to driving to Mount Buffalo for ski lessons or tours.
Not all ski hires have cross country skis and the hire shops listed below are the only businesses that currently stock these skis.

SNOW CLOTHES AND BOOTS
There are no snow clothes, wet weather gear or snow boots for hire at Mount Buffalo. These can be hired at any ski shop in the valley or elsewhere
